A modern technology firm built around a different way to manage technology.
Kent & Brandy Technology Partners is a modern technology firm providing organizations with the leadership, technical expertise, and operational capacity required to manage technology as a business function. We deliver managed IT, IT support, IT consulting, and outsourced IT department services through a principal-led model.
Our work sits between traditional IT consulting and managed IT services. We provide strategic direction, technology operations, business systems expertise, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure management, project leadership, automation, AI, disaster recovery, and specialized technical resources through a single accountable relationship. Organizations often have multiple parties involved in their technology environment, including employees, internal IT teams, software providers, consultants, contractors, and managed service providers. Each may have responsibility for a particular area, yet the broader technology environment can remain fragmented. Kent & Brandy provides the structure and leadership needed to bring those responsibilities together.
Our approach is intentionally environment-first. We do not require organizations to replace technology simply because a new partner has been engaged. We preserve what works, address what no longer serves the organization, consolidate where appropriate, and improve what remains. Recommendations are grounded in business requirements, operational realities, risk, and the value of the investment.
Kent & Brandy also provides individual technology services and project-based engagements for organizations that do not require a comprehensive outsourced IT department. These engagements can include technology assessments, security assessments, cybersecurity initiatives, business systems work, automation, technology modernization, IT project management, vendor management, and other specialized requirements.
Kent & Brandy Leadership Team

Founder, Chief Technology Advisor & Managing Principal
Alexander Brandy
Alexander Brandy is the Founder, Chief Technology Advisor, and Managing Principal of Kent & Brandy Technology Partners. With more than thirteen years of experience across corporate technology, telecommunications, nonprofit, professional services, retail, and entrepreneurial environments, Alexander has developed a broad perspective on technology leadership and business operations. His experience includes work with established brands such as Apple and Comcast/Xfinity, nonprofit organizations, and independent consulting engagements. His expertise encompasses technology strategy, infrastructure, business systems, managed IT services, tier 3 & escalation support, senior system administrator, technical writing, budgeting, vendor management, and technology operations.
Alexander’s career has progressed from hands-on technical support to technical operations, independent consulting, and, ultimately, technology and operations management. That path has given him a dual perspective on technology, as an operational responsibility and as a business function that unites the people, systems, resources, and decisions required to support an organization’s growth.
Alexander studied Business Information Systems at Southern Connecticut State University and Information Technology at Prince George’s Community College. Today, he is building Kent & Brandy around a clear premise: organizations should not have to assemble technology leadership, vendors, specialists, and implementation resources on their own to manage a function that has become increasingly central to the business. The firm offers an integrated technology department and a principal-level relationship, both structured around the organization, its priorities, and its operating environment.

His experience encompasses enterprise infrastructure, network and security management, operational technology, incident response, risk management, and complex technology environments. Over the course of his career, he has led technical projects, supported critical infrastructure, managed enterprise systems, and collaborated with engineering, security, compliance, and operations teams to address multifaceted technology and security challenges.
James brings particular depth in cybersecurity and operational technology, with experience securing industrial control systems, SCADA, and connected environments; conducting risk assessments; responding to security incidents; and applying frameworks such as NIST and ISA/IEC 62443. His background further extends to identity and access management, endpoint security, security monitoring, infrastructure protection, and technology modernization.
At Kent & Brandy, James provides cybersecurity leadership across client environments, helping organizations understand their exposure, strengthen their technology foundations, and make well-informed decisions about security, risk, and resilience. He views cybersecurity as an integral part of the broader technology landscape, ensuring that security measures support the way an organization actually operates.
